We Are An NDIS Registered Provider

We have always believed that anyone should be able to play chess. Hence in 2018, we began a new chapter: becoming an NDIS provider. As an Innovative Community Provider, we aim to help diminish social isolation and improve communication skills and as such our fees can be covered for NDIS participants.

Through chess, participants are able to improve upon their communication through interaction with another player within a fun and engaging activity. Not only does this increase ability to interact in a positive way and in a safe environment, it opens the avenue for further knowledge of such social interactions outside of our sessions. If these goals are within a participant’s NDIS plan, we can help.

Chess Mates acknowledges the traditional custodians of our land who have been learning and educating on Country for over a thousand generations. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
