Chess Mates offers chess classes for children aged 3 and up, with programs running in schools across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
We also offer online classes and private lessons for families looking for more flexibility.

Our Classes
School Classes
Each session begins with a short, interactive lesson focusing on a key concept, followed by games and puzzles to reinforce learning. Students receive guidance and feedback from their instructor throughout.
Holiday Programs
A fun, full-day program where kids learn new skills, play games, and enjoy a mini tournament. Perfect for keeping children engaged during the school holidays. Suitable for Prep–Year 6.
Tournaments
Students can compete in a fun and supportive environment, gaining valuable competition experience. Open to Prep–Year 6, with both novice and advanced divisions.
Private Classes
Tailored one-on-one or small group sessions designed to suit your child’s age, ability, and learning style — ideal for beginners through to advanced players.
