What To Expect

The Chess Mates Online course features eight levels called “Kindy”, “Pawns”, “Bishops”, “Knights”, “Rooks”, “Queens”, “Kings”, and “Grandmaster”

Each level consists of several chess videos and companion PDFs. Not only do these resources offer a thorough grounding in each idea or strategy that’s covered, they also make learning chess fun!

Kids of all ages will enjoy learning to play chess online with lessons featuring songs, puzzles, stories, and characters (such as King Sparky’s eight kids, the pawns, who get so tired after their first move, they only move one square at a time after that!). They’ll also be able to participate in a weekly live Zoom lesson each week.

Lessons for everyone

Our lessons let your child learn chess online at their own pace, however fast or relaxed that may be. We’ve carefully crafted our online course to suit kids of all ages and experience levels, from beginners and three-year-olds, to experienced players and tweens. Offering a thorough grounding in the basics, our online chess lessons gradually work up to higher-level lessons. This lets students who want to be pushed continually improve their game and master advanced strategies and tactics – all while having fun along the way.
